Fees and Submissions for our Courses

WRITE FOR CHILDREN & GET PUBLISHED HOME STUDY COURSE

  • Main course consisting of ten modules              £300
  • Follow-up course consisting of five modules    £150

Please note that these fees apply to students conducting the course by email correspondence. For students wishing to conduct the course by postal correspondence (UK only) please add an additional £25 to the main course fee and an additional £10 to the follow-up course fee.

Terms

  • Payment for each course is required in full, up-front. Please note that there is a £10 conversion charge for payments other than in sterling.
  • The tutor for these courses is Louise Jordan and she is the sole tutor.
  • The main course must be completed within two years of a student submitting their first module response. The follow-up course must be completed within one year of a student submitting their first module response.
  • In most instances (unless instructed otherwise) students must complete all the exercises for each module before returning their work to Louise.
  • No more than one complete module can be submitted each month.
  • Students should allow 14 days for Louise to respond to submitted material.
  • Please note that there will be feedback from Louise after each module has been completed but it is not possible to involve her in lengthy communication about coursework at other times. There is a separate consultancy service for this purpose should students require it.
  • Work submitted by post must be typed.
  • As only a limited number of students can be accepted onto these courses The Writers’ Advice Centre reserves the right to refuse applications. In such cases a student may be put on a waiting list.
  • In the unlikely event that a student should become dissatisfied, we will do our best to rectify the situation. However, please be aware that the payment for the course will not be refunded once the course is underway.

To Use this Service

You now have three options:-
  1. To pay by cheque please complete the Home Study Application Form and return with full payment.
  2. To pay by credit/debit card over the phone please telephone our office (0797 9905353) with your card details. We can then go through the application process with you.
  3. Alternatively you can complete the whole process via our online shop. Click here which will take you to the shop which will, in turn, take you to our online form and payment details.

In all instances our office will notify you with a course start date. Should your application be refused the payment will be refunded in full.
