Empathy Day 2021

Empathy Day LIVE! 2021 is taking place on 10 June, with a stunning line-up of children’s authors and illustrators, including Jacqueline Wilson, Malorie Blackman, Michael Morpurgo, Patrice Lawrence, Michael Rosen and David Baddiel. The theme is walking in someone else’s shoes and the online festival will be launched by Waterstones’ Children’s Laureate Cressida Cowell. It features author-led activities which can be streamed live into homes, classrooms, libraries, or watched afterwards. These have been created using a blend of research, psychology insights and practical testing in schools, with authors acting as empathy role models.
